Are you a tech start-up in the African education space? If so, here’s an exciting opportunity. Injini, Africa’s first EdTech incubator supported by the Cape Innovation and Technology Initiative (CiTi), is looking for start-ups ready to make an impact in African education using technology.
They will select eight companies from across the African continent to join their EdTech incubator programme in Cape Town from July to December, receiving $50k direct funding as well as five months of specialist mentoring, support, scale up and funding introductions.
Does Your Start-up Qualify?
Injini accepts a wide array of applicants, with previously funded start-ups ranging from e-book online stores to mobile apps focused on teaching Zulu and Xhosa.
The EdTech incubator is interested in companies and entrepreneurs that are:
- Working in any field of education, from numeracy to languages to vocational skills
- Working with any age of learners, from pre-school to adults
- At almost any stage of maturity, from new start-up to successful business ready to scale
The 5-month program, including follow-on support, builds on CiTi’s expertise in local business incubation with a strong emphasis on trialling ideas and measuring impact.
